Mark Thome, arranger
Mark Thome resides in Tumwater, Washington and is an active composer, arranger and orchestrator who also plays clarinet/saxophone in the Puget Sound area. He studied composition with Greg Youtz and Ingram Marshall and received a Bachelor of Arts in Composition from The Evergreen State College. Mark is a member of the American Composers Alliance and is staff composer for Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia.
He has composed and arranged for a variety of performing groups ranging from chamber ensembles and jazz combos to concert band, full orchestra, opera and big band. Mark currently has compositions published with UNC Jazz Press, Walrus Music Publishing and the American Composers Alliance and was a prizewinner in the 2009 Humboldt State University Brass Chamber Music Workshop Composition Competition.
